Della Beatrice Perry

Della B. Perry, age 86, of Stearns, Kentucky, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born in Pine Knot, Kentucky on September 26, 1932 the daughter of Elmer and Ada (Stephens) King. Della had worked as a bus monitor for 17 years in the McCreary County School System, factory work in Cincinnati, Murphy’s Department Store selling hamburgers and hotdogs, and Russell R. Dannings. She was a member of the East Pine Knot Tabernacle Church of God and Laurel Heights Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #288.

Her parents; brother Herman King and Earnest King; sisters, Opal Hill, Imogene Simms, Irene King, Madeline Strunk, and Maude Sellers; step son in law, Keith Bennett; and step grandchildren, Patty Perry and Teresa Bennett precede her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Starling Perry of Stearns, Kentucky; son Michael Ryan and wife, Donna of Whitley City; daughter, Betty Jo Muse and husband Eric of Somerset; sister Mossie Godsey of Somerset; step children; William Edward Perry and wife, Betty of Jeffersonville, Indiana; Sandra Lovitt and husband, Ronnie of Indianapolis, and Lois Bennett of Fort Myers, Florida; grandchild, Lindsey Ryan; step grandchildren, Billy Perry, Sheila Lovitt, and Ronnie Lee Lovitt; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of the Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pine Knot Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 5:30 pm Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Funeral Home. Eastern Star services will be held Friday at 6:30 at the funeral home.
