Della Mae McKee

Della Mae McKee age 78 years and 8 days of Stearns, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. 

She was born February 6, 1943 in Honeybee, Kentucky to the late Estes Perry and Dema (Ridener) Perry). In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Leroy McKee. 

Surviving family include her daughters, Sherry Sims (Justin) of Marshes Siding, Kentucky and Kathy King (Othel) of Stearns; a son, Brian McKee also of Stearns; brothers, Clarence Perry and Donald Perry of Cincinnati, Ohio; and sisters, Wilma Dean Anderson of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and Lorene Branscum of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Ashley Corder Bruce (Josh), Allison Corder Hamlin (Craig), Christopher King (Kellie), Cody King (Yasmine), Spencer and Connor Sims; and Great-Grandchildren, Kallen and Avery Bruce, MaKeena and Miles Hamlin, Waylon Heath, Ivan Vanover, Easton and Rylee King. 

Della was a member of the Walkers Chapel Baptist Church. After retiring from the McCreary County Board of Education as a Teachers Aid, Della worked at OVC. In past time, she and husband, Leroy, owned and operated small businesses in McCreary County. Della will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie King officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation after 12:00 noon until funeral service time at the funeral home. Eastern Star services will be held on Saturday at 1:30 pm. 

Della will be entombed alongside her husband, Leroy at the Pine Knot Cemetery.
