Deborah Ann Slaven

Deborah Ann Slaven age 56 of Stearns, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 surrounded by her family.

She was born July 21, 1966 in Somerset, Kentucky to Kenneth Ray Slaven and Shirley (Grundy) Woods. Deborah loved spending time with her family and friends, but most of all her granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Mike Blanton and a grandchild.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Casey Dick, son-in-law James Dick, and granddaughter which was the apple of her eye, Raelynn Dick of Stearns, KY; her sisters: Sheila Bolin (and Stevie) of Stearns KY, Teresa Dickson (and Tom) of Louisville KY, and Beth Phillips (and Greg) of Pine Knot KY, several nieces and nephews that she considered her own; her step Dad: Lonnie Woods and special friends Benjamin Miller and Carla Peters.

She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. But this is not goodbye. It’s “see you later”.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday after 12:00 noon until service time.
