David Allen Kidd age 54 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born September 5, 1968 in Oneida, Tennessee to Darrell Kidd and Marilyn Irene Stephens. David enjoyed working on cars as a mechanic and doing body work. He also liked being outdoors riding four-wheelers and playing basketball. David loved his family and spending time with them and his dog, Brutus. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

David is preceded in death by his father, a son, Justin Kidd, and a nephew, Darren Kidd.

Surviving family include his wife, Sarah (Bowman) Kidd; his mother, Marilyn Stephens; a daughter, Kodie Kidd (and Lacey Wilson) of Winfield, TN; a step-daugher, Danielle Cuppernell (and Kyle) of Nancy, KY; and grandchildren, Dara Poynter, Gavin Poynter, Lance Cuppernell, Zayden Cuppernell, and Lexi Cuppernell.

Also surviving is a brother, Randy Kidd; sisters, Lisa O'Regan (and Mike), Patsy Gibson (and Barry Troxell), Karen Kidd, and Janet Waters (and Greg Phillips), all of Pine Knot; and several nieces and nephews that David loved as his own.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Braxton King officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday after 11:00 am until service time. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Run Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made toward the remaining funeral expense.
