DANNY E. COLLINS

Danny E. Collins, age 57, of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Thursday, August 15, 2013. He was at the Jean Waddle Care Center at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at the New Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 noon until time for services.

Danny was born in Jellico, Tennessee on October 17, 1955 to Doyle and Lois (Dugger) Collins. His father precedes him in death. He is also preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Collins and a sister Donna Kay Collins.

Surviving family include his mother Lois Collins, Pine Knot; children: Teresa Collins, Stearns; Tammy Coffey (and Mike), Stearns; Hannah Morgan (and Matthew), Cynthiana, KY; Dana Collins, Stearns; Shannon Kidd, Whitley City; Jeremy Collins (and Latisha), Stearns; Dylan Collins, Stearns; Christopher Collins, Stearns and his wife Tonya (Jones) Collins.

Danny had worked as an auto mechanic before becoming disabled. He took pleasure in painting vehicles and working on them. He enjoyed using his great sense of humor on his family whom he loved so dearly.

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
