Born June 15, 1944, in Strunk, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Ben S. and Georgia K. King Anderson. Also preceding her in death is a sister Patsy Ruth Anderson and an infant nephew Terry.
She was a devoted homemaker and military wife and later found another true calling in retail. She enjoyed attending church spending time with her family and friends, antiquing, and fishing. Her goal in life was to testify of God's enduring love to all that she met, and in this she succeeded. She was a loving mother and beloved "Duchess" to her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Wood is survived by a daughter Jetondia Wood of Strunk, two sons Shannon Wood of Erlanger, Kentucky and Stephen (and wife Jealene) Wood of Strunk, and Dean Wood the father of her children of Florence, Kentucky. She has six precious grandchildren; Jazzmin Wood, Alexandria Wood, Carol Jean Wright, Cole Wood, Hagen Wood and Christopher Alvarez, and one great grandchild Jericho Wright. Also surviving is one brother Darrell (and wife Carolyn Sue) Anderson of Revelo, and three sisters; Deloris Sue Young of Revelo, Mary Alice (and husband "Ermon") of Strunk, and Kaye Crabtree of Winfield, Tennessee. Her life long friend is Rethia Lloyd of Belleview, Florida. She also will be sadly missed by several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives including the Wood, Anderson, King, Ryan, and Daugherty families and many friends and acquaintances too numerous to mention.
