CLAYTON C. NEAL

Mr. Clayton Neal, age 65, of Pine Knot passed away Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 26, at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. James West officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Clayton was a professional truck driver, having received a million mile safety award early in his career. He last worked for Belden Trucking.

He was artistic by nature and that carried over into the woodworking that he enjoyed so much. Clayton especially enjoyed being with his friends and seldom met a stranger. His personality was such that he was able to form strong bonds with his doctors.

He found comfort in reading the Bible and listening to gospel music. Clayton surrounded his evening in the word of God and prayer.

Clayton was born in Jellico, Tennessee, on June 1, 1946. He is the son of the late Roscoe and Dora Mae Claxton Neal. Surviving family include Janie King Neal of Pine Knot, daughter Letitia Neal Casada of Oneida, two sisters Lois Jane (and Ron) Wallace of Ocala, Florida and Phyllis Frazier of Largo, Florida and her daughter Penelope Jane White of Nashville and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved him and will truly miss him.

Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family of Mr. Clayton Neal in his funeral arrangements.
