Chester Creekmore age 94 of Riverside, Ohio formerly of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He was the widower of Patsy (Baltimore) Creekmore.
Chester was born in Holly Hill, Kentucky on August 26, 1929 to the late Elmer Creekmore and the late Marie (Lovitt) Creekmore. He is a United States Army Veteran having served from 1951 through 1953 during which he earned a United Nations Service Medal and a Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars. after obtaining a honorable discharge from the military, he went on to work for Price Brothers whom he retired from. Preceding him in death are his wife; his parents; and his siblings, Clyde Creekmore, Nannie Perkins, and Marjorie Jones. Chestser is survived by his sons, Richard Creekmore (Dorothy), of Dayton, Ohio, Steve Creekmore, of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Dawn Sparrow (Scott), of Dayton, Richard Creekmore II (Holly), of Dayton, Danielle Wingo Perez (Yusef), of Florida, Aaron Creekmore, of Dayton; and great grandchildren, Kailani Sparrow (Sean), Elijah Sparrow, and Raylan Creekmore, all of Dayton.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the T Chitwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday after 11:00 am until service time.
