CHERYL LYNN BURDINE

Cheryl Lynn Burdine, age 23, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at her home in Pine Knot, Kentucky.

Cheryl Lynn was a 2014 graduate of McCreary County High School and attended the Adanta Tenco Adult Day Treatment Center.  She attended the Hayes Creek Church of God and was an avid Kentucky Wildcats Basketball fan.

She was born in Somerset, Kentucky, on July 9, 1993, the daughter of Gregory and Jeanetta (Sears) Burdine.  She is the granddaughter of Larry and Irene Glover of Somerset and Stanley and Charlotte Sears also of Somerset.  She is the sister of Donald Lee Burdine of Somerset, Matthew (and Tiffany) Burdine of Strunk, Kentucky, Jordan Burdine of Pine Knot, Jackie (and Abe) Gregory of Stearns, Kentucky, Jenny Burdine (and Ashley) Mullins of Louisville, Kentucky, and Rachel Burdine of Pine Knot.  She is the aunt of Cole Gregory, Colton Burdine and Cori Gregory. In addition, she has many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2017, at 8:00 p.m., in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Hayes Creek Cemetery.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
