Charles Walter Maxey

Charles Walter Maxey, age 57 of Lancaster, Kentucky passed from this life on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.

He was born March 20, 1964 in Hamilton, Ohio to Kenneth Maxey and Ethel (Luttrell) Maxey Blankenship.

Preceding him in death is his father, Kenneth and a sister, Libby Worley.

Surviving family include his daughters, Jennifer Maxey of Sidney, Ohio, Debra Maxey of Corbin, Kentucky, Sarah Maxey Musgrove of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and Tayler Rae Maxey of Strunk, Kentucky; his mother and step-father, Ethel and Gary Blankenship of Quincy, Ohio; his step-mother, Etta Margaret Maxey of Revelo, Kentucky; his significant other of many years, Patricia Cecil and her sons, James Fobear (and Courtney), Michael Fobear (and Kyra), and Joshua Fobear, all of Lexington, Kentucky; grandchildren, Colton, Brooklynn, Abbie, Matty, Jasmin, Jocelyn, Broly, Fayla, Ethan, and Lilly; and the mother of his children, Lauralee Theis.

Also surviving are brothers, Michael Maxey, Billy Bowling (and Sharon), Sam Bowling (and Lenita), sisters, Lena Lovett (and David), Peggy Daugherty (and Donald), and a host of several nieces, nephews, and extended family that Charles loved dearly.

Charles was a member of Buck Master, the NHRA, and was an avid deer and turkey hunter. He loved to be outdoors, fishing and camping. Charles was full of spirit and loved to joke and make others laugh. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, making sure they always had a good time. Charles will be sadly miss by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Ryan Family Cemetery in Gumfork, Tennessee. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
