Charles Eric Kilby

Mr. Charles Eric Kilby, age 46, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2006, at the Baptist Regional Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. William Kilby and Rev. Andy Crabtree officiating. He was laid to rest in the Kilby Memorial Gardens on Kilby Road in Pine Knot. The family will receive friends from 6-9pm on Tuesday at Pine Knot Funeral Home.

He was born at Corbin, Kentucky, on February 9, 1960, the son of David William and Rosalie Roe Kilby. He is preceded in death by his father, a brother David Lee Kilby, and a brother-in-law Rev. John Gray.

Eric leaves behind his wife of Paula Ball Kilby whom he married on November 21, 1997, his mother Rosalie Kilby of Pine Knot, three sons Kyle, Tyler and Cory Kilby all of Pine Knot, and three sisters Cleda Gray, Lula Madison, and Rosetta Watters (and her husband Jim) all of Pine Knot.

He had worked with the McCreary County Water District for 22 years where he was a general foreman. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Baptist Church and enjoyed knife and gun trading.
