CHARLES "BUTCH" BROWN

Mr. Charles "Butch" Brown, age 57, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at his home in Pine Knot.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Hayes Creek Church of God with Bro. Jeff Brown and Bro. Harvey Logan officiating. Burial will be at the Jesse Privett Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 p.m. a€" 9:00 p.m. at the church.

Butch had worked as a saw mill operator for Tibbals Flooring Company in Oneida. He was a member of the Hayes Creek Church of God. He enjoyed coon hunting with his brother Mike.

Born September 30, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he is the son of the late Henry Eugene and Rose Mary (Privett) Brown. Preceding him in death is a brother Cleston Brown.

Surviving family include his wife Mary Ann (Jeffers) Brown whom he married December 25, 1982. Butch and Mary Ann were blessed with four children: Pansy Vaughn (and Billy) of Pine Knot, Jessica Stephens (and Greg) of Strunk, Jesse Brown of Pine Knot and Samuel Brown (and Ashley) of Pine Knot, and six grandchildren: Brandon Vaughn, Nathan Stephens, James Vaughn, Kelly Brown, Drew Brown, and Isaac Stephens. He has two sisters Mary Wells (and Henry) of Williamsburg and Gail Brooks also of Williamsburg, two brothers; Donnie Brown (and Kathy) of Strunk and Mike Brown also of Strunk, and a sister-in-law Deanna King of Somerset.

The family has suggested that contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
