CARSON EDWARD BROOKS

Carson Edward Brooks, age 61, formerly of McCreary County, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012, at his home in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2012, in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Daniel Ridener officiating. Burial will be at the Mill Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time at 1:00.

Carson had worked at a plant nursery in Florida and had worked for the Kingsford Charcoal Plant in Burnside before becoming disabled.

Born January 12, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ralph A. and Billie Jean (Hamlin) Brooks. Surviving family include two daughters; Georgia Ridner, Pine Knot, and Carla Peters, Stearns, three sons; Dudley Brooks, Clarksville, TN, Ralph Brooks, Ringgold, GA, and Carson Brooks, Carbondale, GA; a sister Anna Young, Whitley City, and five brothers; Ralph Brooks, Whitley City, Gary Strunk, Wilmore, KY, Dale Strunk, Whitley City, Ronnie Strunk, Pine knot and Steve Strunk, Whitley City. He had 10 grandchildren.
