Carolyn Sue (Jones) Privett

Mrs. Carolyn Sue Jones Privett age 65 of Ferguson, formerly of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center with her loving family by her side.

She was born July 24, 1957 in Corbin, Kentucky to the late Rev. Charlie Jones and Wanda (Paul) Jones. She married her husband, Jeffery Privett on December 10, 1988.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her paternal grandparents, Rev. Ora & Bessie (Sharp) Jones; maternal grandparents, Grant & Lotus Paul; a sister, Mary Clark; brothers, Milton Jones and Andrew Jones; father-in-law, Rev. Alvis Privett; nephews, Kevin Jones and Spencer Privett: and a great-niece, Addison Privett.

Surviving family include her husband, Jeff ; sons, Joshua Privett (and Jessica) of Somerset and Christopher Privett (and Breanna) of Ferguson; three grandchildren, John and Zagan Privett and Destyn Balch; sisters, Lois Smith (and Johnny) of Ferguson and Delphi Stephens (and Sonny) of Dry Ridge, brothers, David Jones (and Tasha) of Whitley City and Tim Jones; her mother-in-law, Nancy Privett of Revelo; a brother-in-law, Jerry Privett (and Victoria); a sisters-in-law, Kim Montgomery and Katrina Massengale (and David); a special great-nephew, Ryan Privett; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she loved dearly.

Carolyn was currently a homemaker. She had work past time for the tent factory in Stearns for many years. She was also a long time member of the Silerville Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 12:00 noon at the Silerville Baptist Church with Bro. Delmus Watson and Bro. Mark Smith officiating. Burial to follow in the Pine Knot Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday after 5:30 pm at the church.
