CARMELLA R. KING

Mrs. Carmella King, age 38, of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed away Sunday, December 24, 2006, at her home with her family by her side.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. William Kilby and Bro. Bill King officiating. She was laid to rest in the Meadows King Cemetery in Pine Knot.

Carmella was born August 4, 1968, to Luther and Melba Ellis Burke. She was a Resident Advisor at the Pine Knot Job Corps and a member of the Williams Creek United Baptist Church in Oneida. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them as well as her horses and dogs.

On February 13, 1988, Carmella was united in marriage to Kenny Gene King, the son of the late Donald King and Wilma Stephens King of Pine Knot. Carmella and Kenny made their home on the Meadows Grove Road in Pine Knot and had one son Kenny Gene King, Jr. Her parents Luther and Melba Burke live in Oneida, Tennessee. She has a sister Brandi Strunk of Oneida and two brothers Hank Burke of Oneida and Jonathan Burke and his wife Kim of London, Kentucky.

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
