CARL LEON COMBS

Mr. Carl Leon Combs, age 47 of Tim Stephens Road in Revelo passed away suddenly on Monday November 17, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville.

Funeral services will be held on Friday November 21, 2008 at 1pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Stephens and Rev. Harvey Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Knot Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-9pm at the funeral home.

He was born in Corbin, Kentucky on January 2, 1961. He was the son of Boyd and Aileen Cornelius Combs whom reside in Somerset.

Leon was a manager at the Hartco Plant in Oneida where he was a member of the Mill Workers Union and a Navy Veteran having served aboard the USS Arkansas during the 1980's. He was a member of the Kinne Slaven Post 115 of the American Legion. He received Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior on June 23, 1995 at Camp Victory in Somerset.

Leon is survived by his son, Levon Combs of Pine Knot, and his son's mother, Tracy Morgan. 3 brothers: Garrett Combs of Pennsylvania, Robert Burton Combs of Florida, and Roger Boyd Combs of Lexington, KY. There are 4 sisters: Thelma Joyce Daugherty of Pine Knot, Mary Elizabeth Stephens of Somerset, Barbara Gail Moore of Glasgow, KY and Maxine Smith of Pennsylvania. He has special friends, Sue Koger Hatfield, Todd Koger and Adam Morgan and a very special friend, Paula Jones.

He is preceeded in death by a brother, Michael Ray Combs.
