BRENDA E. SHOOPMAN

Brenda Elaine Shoopman, age 55, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Cyrus Byrd and Rev. Doug Sexton officiating. Burial will be at the Meadows Cemetery at Osbourne Creek in Strunk, Kentucky. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time at 1:00. at the funeral home.

Brenda was born March 18, 1955, in Jellico, Tennessee, the daughter of Renfro and Maerene Meadows Baird of Pine Knot. On April 10, 1993 she was united in marriage to Joseph "Stokley" Shoopman and they lived in Oneida, Tennessee. She has one son, Craig Reed and his wife Jennifer of Pine Knot and her precious little granddaughter Mika Alayna. Her sisters are Beverly (and Richard) Musgrove of Pine Knot and Wilma (and Gary) Hammons also of Pine Knot, and brothers Eddie (and Brenda) Baird of Jellico Creek and Benny (and Jewell) Baird of Winfield, Tennessee. Brenda leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, friends and other family whom she loved dearly that will cherish her memory forever.
