BONNIE J. STEPHENS

Bonnie J. Stephens, age 71 of Strunk and wife of Burtis Stephens, passed away on Saturday November 30, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Funeral services will be Monday December 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Privett Cemetery in Strunk. The family will receive friends from 6-9pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stephens was born in McCreary County, on February 20, 1942 to the late Hobert and Virtie Gregory Spradlin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, Leonard Gregory.

Surviving family include her husband Burtis Stephens, who she married August 12, 1977. A daughter, Sandra Murphy and her husband Cye. 4 brothers, Leamon Spradlin, Harold Spradlin, and Bobby all of Strunk. And Jack Spradlin of Pine Knot.

She has 4 sisters, Joyce Privett and Kathy Thompson both of Strunk. Juanita Stephens of Sydney, Ohio and Deanna King of Bronston, Kentucky.

There are 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren surviving as well as a very special niece, Angie Dixon.

Mrs. Stephens was a homemaker and a member of the Dixie Freedom Church.
