Bobby E Massengale

Bobby Massengale age 63 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Bob was born October 14, 1954 in Scott County, Tennessee to Ray and Joyce (Meadows) Massengale. After the death of Ray, Bob and his siblings were raised by Arlie and Cordelia (Watson) Massengale.

Bob was a member of the East Apple Tree United Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed four-wheeling, camping, and hiking. Bob also enjoyed attending auctions and flea marketing, but above all he enjoyed spending time with family, especially his son Landon.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Ray, Joyce and Arlie Massengale; a brother, Arnold Massengale, and a step-daughter, Christina Stephens.

Surviving family include his wife, Sheila Massengale; a daughter, Amy Vargus; a son, Landon Skaggs Massengale; mother, Cordelia Massengale; brothers, Kenneth Massengale (Brenda), David Massengale (Katrina), and Tyson Massengale (Ella); and sisters, Brenda Murphy, Betty Pierce (Denny), Judy Coffey (Bobby), and Deletta Simpson (Danny).

Bob is also survived by his mother and father in law, Gilbert & Agnes Warren; step-children, Brandon Skaggs (Amanda), Lori Skaggs, Alen Stephens (Diane), Shawn Stephens (Hailee), Sandra Murphy (Rex); a brother-in-law, Mike Warren (LouAnn), sisters-in-law, Lisa Stillwell and Nancy Mings (Tony); and a special friend, Joy Stephens.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Jacob Ratliff officiating. Burial to follow in the Pine Knot Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday after 11:00 am until time for the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
