Bobby E. "Bert" Bryant, age 52, of Revelo, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011, in Wayne County.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Dow Goodin and Bro. John Goodin officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Taylor Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening after 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born June 25, 1959, he was the son of Delbert and Gerldine Spradlin Bryant. Preceding him in death are his father Delbert Bryant, his step-father Albert Higginbotham, a brother Delbert "Shorty" Bryant, and a grandchild.
Surviving family include his mother Gerldine Bryant of Stearns, his wife Pamela Leona Goodin Bryant of Revelo, two sons Bobby Edward Bryant, Jr. of Stearns, and William Shane Bryant (wife Heather) of Whitley City, and three daughters Kandra Dawn Bryant of Stearns, Darah Lashae Troxell of Stearns, and Misty McCoy of Whitley City. He has two surviving brothers Darrell Bryant (and wife Naomi) of Stearns, Jeff Bryant (and wife Tina) of Cincinnati, two sisters Helen Watters (and husband Conley) Whitley City and Marilyn Vanhook, Whitley City, father and mother-in-law Dow and Ellen Goodin, step- mother Maggie Bryant, and grandchildren Anthony Jeremiah Bryant, Amyah Maegrace Bryant, Jimmy and Jason Shook and Jacob Stephens. He also leaves behind a very special friend and brother-in-Law Roger Neely.
Bert was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. He had been a logger before becoming disabled. He enjoyed cutting firewood as well as hunting and fishing and he liked his animals.
