Bobby Carl Hamlin, age 85 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, died January 3, 2021 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was born in Pine Knot, Kentucky on March 11, 1935 the son of Oscar and Dorothy Darlene (Roundtree) Hamlin. Bob and wife, Joan, helped to build the South Pine Knot Church of God. Bob had became a member of the East Pine Knot Tabernacle Church of God on July 1, 2018. In past time, he had been an equipment operator for the Gatliff Coal Company and had also worked for the Sunshine Biscuit Company. Bob was a member of the Lincoln-Mercury Club in Detroit, loved fishing, socializing, and attending church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Joan (Bledsoe) Hamlin; son, Randall Wayne “Randy” Hamlin; brothers, Donald Hamlin and Raymond Hamlin; and a granddaughter, Traci Lyn Hamlin Adkins.
Survivors include his brother, Eddie Hamlin of Williamsburg; grandchildren, Michael Hamlin of Williamsburg and Jamie Todd Hamlin (Tiffany) of Pine Knot; and great grandchildren, Cade, Allie, Kendall, and Kolton
Funeral services will be held at 12pm Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in the chapel of the Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. William Kilby officiating. Burial will follow in the Bledsoe Cemetery in Pennington Gap, Virginia. The family will receive friends after 10am Wednesday at the funeral home.
