Obituary for Mrs. Betty A. Duncan

Betty Duncan, of Granny Holt Knob in Strunk passed away on Saturday July 21, 2007 at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida. She was 73.

Funeral services were Tuesday July 24, 2007 at 1pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Onel Bryant and Rev. Tommy King officiating. Burial was in the Ryan Cemetery at Gumm Fork, Tennessee.

She was born in Scott County Tennessee on August 29, 1933 to the late Oscar and Goldie Ryan Maxey. Also preceding her in death are 4 brothers: Frank, Ed, Mark and Billy Maxey, and a son in law, Larry Murray.

On August 16, 1949 she married Marvin Duncan. Marvin resides at Strunk. To this marriage were born 5 children:

Marvin Duncan Jr. of Strunk, Ky Sandra Murray of Pioneer, Tennessee Vickey Wood and her husband William of Covington, KY Pandora Blakenship and her husband Gary of Cincinnati, Ohio Dexter Duncan and his wife Rose of Florence, Kentucky.

She is also survived by a brother, Roger Maxey of Norwood, Ohio, and 2 sisters, Ruth Lynch of Jacksonville, Florida and Mary Hail of Strunk, KY.
