BESSIE G. NEAL

Bessie G. Neal, age 91, of Decatur, Alabama, formerly of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2006, at the Sunbridge Care & Rehab Center in Decatur.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 16, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Harvey and Mike Price officiating. She was laid to rest in the Pleasant Run Cemetery.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Hayes Creek Church of God. She enjoyed going to church and one of her greatest pleasures was singing and writing songs. Born June 22, 1915, in Bronston, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Nimrod and Mary Lou Gibson Neal. Besides her parents s preceded in death by her husband Henry Bradford "Brad" Neal who passed on March 17, 1989. She is also preceded in death by a son James Edward Neal, a son-in-law Vernon Price and all her brothers and sisters, Arthur, Luther, Emma and Flora Johnson.

Mrs. Neal is survived by her loving family Joan Price of Decatur, Alabama and Sue and Charles Millis of Kennard, Indiana. She has nine precious grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, Emma who was the light of her life and one great great grandchild on the way.
