BERTIS LEE NEAL

Bertis Lee Neal, age 67, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

Bert was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on October 25, 1948, to Ancil Neal and Lois Neal Stephens.  Both his parents precede him in death.

Surviving family include three daughters: Kimberly Green (husband Rodney) of Revelo, Kentucky,  Staci Foster (husband Rodrick) of Strunk, Kentucky, and Amy Koger (husband Todd) of Strunk, and a son Trent McCullough of Pine Knot.  Bert has a step father Ledford Stephens of Indiana, sister: Patricia Worley (husband Michael) of Pine Knot, a brother, Elmer Daniel Neal (wife Alice) of Pine Knot, six grandchildren: Braxton and Trevin McCullough, Reagan Kidd, and Erin Koger, Hunter and Ashley Foster.

Bert had worked in construction most of his life, having worked for D. H. Campbell, Inc.  He enjoyed antique “picking”, old cars, riding around and being outdoors.  Mostly he loved spending time with his family and friends. He treasured the time spent with his girls during his final days.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 23, 2015,  at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00.  Burial will be at the T. Chitwood Cemetery on Thursday morning at 11:00. The family ask that everyone please come back to the funeral home so everyone can go in procession.
