Bertha King

Mrs. Bertha King, age 92 of Revelo passed away on Friday January 5, 2007 at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida.

Funeral services were Monday January 8, 2007 at 11am in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie King officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Knot Cemetery.

She was born in Pine Knot on October 7, 1914, daughter of the late James and Parthena Kidd White. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Wilda Ann King; 6 brothers, Floyd, Crit, and Jerome White along with 3 infant brothers; and a sister, Mae White

ON March 15, 1935, she was married to Mr. John Lewis King. Mr. King died on October 31, 2003.

Survivors include a son, J.D. King and his wife Jeri of Cincinnati, Ohio and a daughter, Janice Dickman and her husband Don of Pine Knot, as well as a brother, John S. White of Orlando Florida. Grandchildren are: Scott King and Kimberly Mullins. David Bryant, JoAnn Baird, Timothy Bryant and Greg Bryant. Step grandchildren: Kirk Dickman, Dana Dickman and Deborah Cook. Great Grandchildren are: Matthew and Lauren Mullins, Matthew, Margo and Christopher King. Doug Ponder, Robert McGuckin, Cheryl Bryant, Jeremy Bryant, Andrew Bryant and Anthony Bryant. Also, Darci, Jarvis, Abby, Derra, Ariel and Echo.

Ms. King was a homemaker and a member of the Silerville United Baptist Church. Her soul is now at rest.
