Arnold Moore

Arnold Moore, age 80, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. 

Arnold was the widower of Eva (Stephens) Moore. He was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on October 23, 1942 to the late Mat Moore and the late Hazel (Spradlin) Moore. Arnold attended the Marsh Creek Baptist Church, and he enjoyed watching westerns, tinkering with lawn mowers and anything in general, He loved his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Arnold is preceded in death by his brothers, Lendell Moore, Ronnie Moore, James Edward Moore, Jr. Moore; one sister, Martha Lou Duncan; and one grandchild, Kelsey Moore. 

Arnold is survived by his three sons, Gary Moore (and Nikki Wilson), of Pine Knot, Barry Moore (and Mary), of Pine Knot, Larry Moore; one daughter, Sophia Strunk (and Roger); grandchildren, Noah Moore, Sampson Strunk, Paul Strunk, Jacob Moore, Peyton Moore; and three great grandchildren, Kinsley, Carson, and Raelee. 

Arnold’s funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Scotty Corder officiating on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 7:00pm EST. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. A graveside service will be held at the Upper Cal Hill Cemetery on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 10:00am. Friends and family may gather at the Pine Knot Funeral Home on Saturday by 9:45am to join in the Funeral Procession.
