Arlis Slavey

Arlis Slavey, age 74, of Strunk, KY., son of the late Lester and Mary Basil Garland Slavey, passed from this life on Thursday, August 11, 2022 in Somerset, KY.  Arlis was a member of Roundtop United Baptist Church, he enjoyed life, hunting, fishing, camping, horseback riding but his family was his greatest joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Mary Slavey, brothers; William and Ivan Slavey, sister; Shirley Johnson.  He is survived by his son; John and daughter Penny, brothers; Wayne and wife Barbara Slavey, Burl and wife Betty Slavey, step-grandchildren; Austin, William and Tristian Slavey, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Roundtop United Baptist Church on August 14, 2022, Sunday evening beginning at 5:00 pm, with funeral service on Monday, August 15, 2022, at 12:00 pm, brothers Willis Troxell and Daniel Trammell officiating, burial will follow in Smith Cemetery.
