ARLIS NEAL

Arils "Art" Neal, 84, of Batavia, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023.  

Art was born in Holly Hill, Kentucky on January 20, 1939, to the late Virgil and Hazel Neal.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Mark Neal; and his siblings, Johnny Neal, Bessie Anderson, Don Neal, and Thelma Neal.

Art is survived by his loving wife, Mary Sue, who he married on June 27, 1957. He is also survived by his children, Tony Harless (Lisa), Michael Neal (Tammy), Melissa DeMetro (Jerry), Marty Neal (Shannon); his grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Jonah, Jovannah, Jennifer, Nicole, Mikaela, Mark, Matthew, Madison and Tanner; his great-grandchildren, Colt Estep and Ava Neal; sister-in-law, Flo Neal; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 7, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Starrett officiating.  Interment will follow at the Mark T. Neal Cemetery in Pine Knot.  Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 p.m. until time for services.
