ANNA LAURA STEPHENS

Anna Laura Stephens age 89 of Pine Knot, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at McCreary Health and Rehabilitation in Pine Knot, Ky.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Seabolt and the Honorable Doug Stephens officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Kidd Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until time for services.

She was born June 1, 1924 at Marsh Creek in Pine Knot, Ky. Laura was the daughter of the James and Lottie (King) Kidd.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Dennis William Stephens, two brothers Dester and Edward Kidd and a sister Bernice Kidd.

Surviving family include her five children: Leah Cecil of Fort Thomas, Ky., Catherine Daugherty (and Estol), Garner Stephens ( and Kathy) , Jerry Stephens (and Tonya), Denisa Hamlin (and Larry) and a special niece Betty Taylor all of Pine Knot, Ky.

Laura was a grandmother to sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. There are many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Laura was a homemaker and a member of Pine Knot United Baptist Church.

Her most enjoyment came from spending time with her family.
