ALLIE OPAL MEADORS

Ms. Allie Opal Meadors, age 86, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at the McCreary Health and Rehab Facility in Pine Knot.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 18, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Lance Lay officiating. Interment was in the Pine Knot Cemetery.

Born February 5, 1923, in Whitley County, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Linn and Nell (Cupp) Griffith. Also preceding her in death is her husband Hobert Meadors who passed away in October, 1979, two brothers Claude and John Griffith, and two sisters Sara Nan Lamphere and Roxie Sammons.

Surviving family include a son Jack B. (and Sharon) Meadors of Pine Knot and two daughters, Karren (and Robert) Shelley who live in Whitley County, and Pamela Kay Meadors of Pine Knot. There are five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
