ALBERT J. RYAN

Mr. Albert J. Ryan, age 75 of Pine Knot, passed away on Friday December 29, 2006 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Funeral services were Sunday December 31, 2006 at 2pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home, with Bro. Harold Rollins officiating. Burial was in the T. Chitwood Cemetery with military honors.

He was born in Strunk, Kentucky on April 14, 1931. He was the son of the late Joshua Leo and Anna Mae Jones Ryan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Everett Ryan and a sister, Mary Pryor.

Survivors include his wife, Marcella Kidd Ryan; a son, Jerry W. Ryan and his wife Susan of Milford, Ohio; 2 daughters, Charolette Taylor and her husband Dwayne of Stearns, and LeAnna Marie Roberts and her husband Kerry of Elizabethtown, KY. He has a brother, Cathbert Eugene (Dick) Ryan of Loveland, Ohio and a sister, Margaret Strunk of Kings Mill, Ohio. There are 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren also surviving.

Mr. Ryan was a member of the Silerville Baptist Church, and had served his country both in the United States Navy and the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He had also retired from the Ford Motor Company in Ohio.
