Ms. Agnes Mae Davis, age 63, of Strunk, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at her home on Kingtown Road.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 31, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. David Troxell officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Silerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time for funeral services.
Ms. Davis worked in the dietary department at the McCreary Health and Rehabilitation Center for 11 years.
On March 3, 1947, in Knoxville, Tennessee, she entered life the daughter of the late Mossie Daniels and James Alexander Ellenburg. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Clarence Edward Davis and two sons Robert Lee Evans and James Carmel Evans, a grandson Zackery Ross, and a brother James C. "Jimbo" Ellenburg.
She had three daughters Karen Marie (and David) Phillips of Stearns, Monica Lynn (and Daniel) Bowling of Revelo, and Melissa Ann Evans (and Jody Phillips) of Strunk. She had three grandchildren Michelle Ann Phillips of Stearns, David Lee Phillips, Jr. of Stearns, and Justin Tyler Lee Ross of Strunk, and seven who called her "grandma" Patricia ("Pip"), Cody, Daniel, Keanon, Wesley, Damon and Matthew. There are three sisters Sue (and Sonny) Clark of Hearring, North Carolina, Ruth (and Denny) Kholsdorf of Cincinnati and Charlene Dalton of Cincinnati. She had 18 nephews and 14 nieces and many other family and friends who loved her dearly.
